Years ago, I painted while listening to National Public Radio (NPR). After finishing this painting, I realized the subject matter reflected the news during that month. I don't remember all exactly, but the womans' red hair represented the Olympic torch, the man leaning on her represented the weight of America and the crosses represented the war against Iran. Strange to think that today, our government is attempting to erase NPR by withdrawing funding.
