If you've have ever spent time observing dolphins, its obvious how social and close-knit they stay. Dolphins thrive in family groups known as pods. Working together, they are able to catch more fish and protect each other from predators. They often rake against each other, communicating with physical touch as well as echo-location.
I'm often struck at the lessons to be found when studying wildlife and nature.
Although our culture celebrates "the self-made man", the truth is we need each other to thrive in life and no person, no matter how successful, has gotten there alone and without help. We are better together and need each other. In these days of physical isolation, find ways to stay connected and take a moment to thank someone in your life who has helped you along the way.
