I am painting this piece in response to a nagging question: Why can't people just let hair be?
Girls should be able to experiment with their hair and wear it however they please without being made to feel uncomfortable, stared at, touched, or subjected to negative comments.
We understand that hair is not just a physical attribute but a way to express oneself, and we know how important it is for girls to feel confident in their self-expression. Sadly, girls often face judgment instead of receiving praise for their creativity and the uniqueness their natural hair textures allow.
I empathize with their struggle and believe every girl deserves to feel supported and encouraged in their journey of self-discovery.
