A blue angel, outlined in white paint dominates two-thirds of the composition. Striking a deeply contemplative pose, she is surrounded on one side by the earth and in opposition which seems to be a symbol of a foreign nation. Figures in helmets on the right oversee what seems to be bodies and airplane debris strewn about. Although, the artist might profess not to be overly religious, he seems to earnestly ponder the moral issues of national or international conflict.
