“Afterglow” is created using the stunning U.S. Skylab 10¢ issues from 1974, featuring the space station orbiting above the earth with a beautiful sun in the background. I consider this one of the most beautiful postage stamps ever issued in the U.S. A fascinating and powerful optical effect is created by layering the stamps in a specific way to create the interesting relationship between the glowing suns in each issue.
