The quilt design is inspired by a found composition (crosswalk) spotted while walking the Delaware River Path in Philadelphia, PA. It introduces an urban sensibility that contrasts with the natural materials used. Larger sections of leaves incorporated into the design allow the viewer to fully appreciate the range of color and patterning within each leaf. The broken border reflects pace of start and stop and intersections.
