The first few minutes in the morning are almost always the hardest of the day. It starts with the decision to get out of bed instead of hitting the snooze one, two, maybe three more times. Now here I am, standing in front of my coffee maker, questioning my life choices – starting with why I decided to wake up so early and why I gave up coffee. I never regret those decisions later in the day, but those first few minutes every day are rough.
