I was painting at Tidal Falls Preserve near Sullivan with the plein air group on this beautiful 70° day. We had set up in the lee of the event building to keep the gusty breeze from bothering us. I finished and was chatting with the others and a wild gust blew my easel -- palette, painting, and all -- facedown into the grass. That’s plein air! My painting needed a few repairs back at the studio. You still might be able to see dirt or a blade of grass stuck in the paint!
