This work on paper is a photo-lithographic print of my lover resting on our bed, with marigold patterns drawn across the sheets—a nod both to her nickname, “Marigold,” and to the vibrant Día de los Muertos traditions of marigold petals and calavera face paint. These drawn additions transform the print into a more intimate, symbolic piece, layering personal affection with cultural remembrance.
