A mold of the leaf of the grape vine, brought from Croatia to New Zealand several generations ago was used. This links to lineage and acknowledges the earth of ancestors. A cutting of the grape vine now grows in my garden at home and was taken at a family gathering and gifted to us. The grapes are traditionally wine grapes with a sharp refreshing tang. A gorgeous red delicious treat in summer.
