This painting is part of a group of floral paintings that all explore the different perceptions of beauty. This painting depicts a lovely naturally grown rose which is juxtaposed with being put inside a chemistry lab bottle. I wanted to show that no matter what incredible advances science comes up with in the constant search for miracle beauty potions it can never come close to natural beauty.
