Artwork Gallery Exhibition 5: Summer 2022/2023

My name is Cath, I am a local artist residing in the NSW Snowy Mountains. I feel privileged to live here with my family on our farm near East Jindabyne, with an array of dogs, horses, sheep and chooks. They often find themselves the subject of my artistic endeavours.
I primarily love to paint with oil, and I enjoy all genres of painting. I draw my inspiration from the unique people, animals and landscapes of the Snowies.

While I am relatively new to painting, I am passionate about creating pieces which reflect the true character of my subjects and allowing their personality to shine through- both animal and human.
My main focus in producing a piece is to capture the ONE thing which defines a moment in time-whether it be emotion, light, colour or movement, to evoke feeling or thought from the viewer.
