Barbara is the first of a series of three nostalgic portraits of my cousins. Three sisters with distinct personalities provided the context to explore the potential of the 3M materials and enamel markers to express distinct characters. The Barbara has been photographed multiple times, and not one photograph is the same – depending on the light in the space and even on what the photographer was wearing as he stood in front of it.
