I was living on Bigley Avenue on Charleston's west side in at apartment that my father referred to as "the substandard dwelling". He was sure I would burn up in this hovel located adjacent to Interstate 77. But it had a dining room that I converted into my studio. Very little heat in winter and no AC in summer. This is a view high on the hills in Kanawha State Forest, near Charleston WV.
