Doesburg's Influence

This kiln-formed glass vessel is inspired by Theo van Doesburg’s *Counter-Composition* series, which explored dynamic geometric abstraction and asymmetrical balance.
The bowl’s design features bold black grids interspersed with vibrant primary colors—red, blue, and yellow—mirroring the modernist aesthetic Doesburg championed.

Dynamic Composition

The asymmetrical placement of color blocks and grid lines creates a sense of movement and energy, reflecting Doesburg’s experiments with dynamic tension in his compositions.

The integration of light and dark elements emphasizes contrast and rhythm, hallmark features of the De Stijl movement.

Light and Transparency

The interplay of opaque and translucent glass elements allows light to interact with the design, casting dynamic reflections and enhancing the visual impact.

The curved form transforms the flat geometry of Doesburg’s paintings into a sculptural, interactive experience.
