Ancient Rings 89 carries a rhythm that revealed itself gradually as I built it—each small piece finding its place within the ivory rings that hold the form together. The Red Amber moves through the vessel like a pulse, glowing with contained fire, while the Ming Green gathers at the rim in quiet balance. Between them, a fine black line defines the edges without ever restraining their energy, letting warmth and stillness share the same space.

As I turned the piece in my hands, I watched the dialogue between these colors unfold—Red Amber reaching outward, Ming Green drawing inward, both tracing the vessel’s slow spiral of time. That conversation between structure and flow, fire and calm, became the essence of this work.

Ancient Rings 89 reminds me that precision and intuition are never separate forces—they meet at the edge of every cut and curve. In that space, the vessel feels alive, suspended between form and openness, like a breath held inside glass.
