Cloud Berry Ripples is inspired by my time as an artist-in-residence at an ice cream shop on the ocean! It was a small, historic town filled with tourists and I spent my Saturdays painting on my portable easel in the shop, talking to a LOT of people and fighting the urge to eat my weight in homemade waffle cones and ice-cream!
At the end of the residence I debuted a whole series of ice-cream inspired, ocean seascapes for a special show that featured a custom ice-cream flavour called Clouds and Cream! (It was delicious!)
