Inspired by time spent with the Maasai, this series borrows their term for foreigners, “Paper People,” to explore vulnerability through material and place. Each stylized slab, crafted from up-cycled paper pulp and found embellishments, balances elegance with a sense of decay, evoking the aura of lost civilizations. By transforming humble materials into refined forms, the work reflects on transience, imperfection, and the enduring forces of nature.
