I saw these riders cooling off their horses at the Schofield Ford Covered Bridge crossing in Tyler State Park, Newtown, PA. I was captivated by the sparkling light and reflections in the water, and immediately knew I wanted to paint this scene. I took several reference photos as the horses splashed and swam and the riders enjoyed the beautiful late spring day.
The Schofield Ford Covered Bridge is the longest covered bridge in Bucks County.
