This is a combination of butterflies and moths. The Luna Moth is probably one of the most locally recognizable. The transparency of the middle butterfly (a Reddish Clearwing Satyr) was a challenge I set myself, and with the success of it in this piece, I decided to incorporate more transparency into the later Jelly Undulations. There are a few different names for a group of butterflies, one of which is a ‘Flutter’.
