Since June 1 of 2025, I’ve been traveling [on a shoestring] in the EU and UK, making paintings. 

First three months were in Portugal, living in a tiny apartment on a calcada [an alleyway/staircase] in Lisbon and for a short while camping in the northern part of the country. I made six paintings there, one was stolen. Tough time. My dog passed away as well. So it took a while to get them finished.

Then I spent four months in Scotland, living in a van, traveling the length and breadth of the country. Made five oil paintings and ten watercolors here [still here for now], and fell in love with the place. It’s likely that I will try to return to make more work here- although the cold is difficult, living in a van.

My next adventure will begin in Ibiza near the beginning of the new year. 

Then I will travel to Barcelona and thence to France.

I will be making art all the time I am traveling [watercolors in Spain, then oils once I get to France].
