This series arose from my grief after my dad died. I found myself in a dark place, fearful of my own mortality and uncertain of the future. In some cases I felt like I was venturing deeper into a cave, in others, I was emerging into the light. This imagery consistently appeared during my work sessions. Each stroke of paint was a step on my journey to accepting and understanding my new normal. My work symbolizes the path we all must travel when working through grief.
