In darkness deep
Reflective thoughts
Before his sleep
Are his alone to keep
I find my wood
Not in dark
Though be like Frost
In moments, pause
Where Filtered sun
Tickles unspoiled snow
And gurgle
From tired river flows
The only witness
To this place
Save for the call
Of flying crow
My footed tread
That stopped this way
It is mine
And mine alone
To fade into the quiet
Into the peace
