I am interested in the creative process of being human as a creator of realities. I use the human figure as part of the formation of these realities during the human experience. Parts of the human body appear in my work as a result of this practice of realization and creativity, as well as the representation of the states of consciousness and of the human condition within the unicity in the cosmos. I also add examples of diversity as an integral part of this oneness and of the unnecessary use of labels.
I play with the word “recreation" to explain my way of thinking. Recreation is usually understood as amusement or entertainment, but it also means to re-create. Creation indicates the act of making, inventing, or producing, and its active form is the verb to create: to bring into existence, to produce through imaginative skill. Therefore to recreate has both meanings: to create again and to amuse. Could recreation (as a diversion) be the result of the creative process of recreating oneself, reinventing oneself or forming a new self? In such way that we could see life, as an empty board in which we could add, change and experience ourselves freely without having any regards for gender, tags or social codes.
