Last summer my family and I stayed on Long Beach Island, New Jersey for a week, right on the beach. It was a fantastic vacation, but I could hardly sleep for the excitement of waking up at dawn most mornings to catch the most beautiful sunrises on the water. The scene changes each moment, so while I tried a few small sketches, I had to rely mostly on hundreds of photos taken during the week. The title for this piece: I love the way the sky spills itself into a replica on the sand, and change each moment as the waves wash in and out.
