Tania Benites is a Peruvian-born, Cleveland-raised theatre artist and library worker. She graduated with her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Cleveland State University in 2012. As an actress Tania has performed at several Northeast Ohio area theaters including Cleveland Public Theatre, Teatro Publico de Cleveland, Cleveland Playhouse, Talespinner Children's Theatre, Ensemble, Beck Center for the Arts, LatinUs, Clague Playhouse, Dobama, and Rubber City Theatre. As playwright Tania's work has been featured in Teatro Publico de Cleveland's staged play reading series "Obras en evolucion" in 2017 and 2018. Her full length play ALTER had its world premier at Cleveland Public Theatre with Teatro Publico de Cleveland in 2024. When she is not creating theatre, Tania proudly serves as the Adult Programming Assistant for the Cuyahoga County Public Library.
