Savannah Sofia is a working artist and graduate student studying for their master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy at Ursuline College. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a minor in Art Therapy, at the Columbus College of Art and Design, she continues developing a strong artistic identity through various forms of media. She values self-expression in all forms. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she fell in love with blowing glass, ceramics, and abstract painting. Though her media of choice often changes, her aesthetic is recognizable across all media. Her artwork is deeply personal, yet universally applicable, exploring the complexities of womanhood. Drawing from personal experiences, Savannah’s identity as a queer latine woman informs her work in every piece. Originally from Cleveland, Savannah has participated in many internships and jobs that furthered their passion for art. From teaching middle school art classes to adult glassblowing workshops, she integrates her love for art into her passion for community involvement and teaching.
