Benjamin Puentes is a Colombian artist born and raised in Bogota, he is currently a student at the Cleveland Institute of Art. His work is primarily interested in questions of evolution and natural history, he uses a variety of media such as graphite, colored pencils and paint to tell vibrant stories and to highlight beautiful aspects of life. He was featured in the Society of Illustrators gallery in New York City, and has been featured in multiple shows at the Cleveland Institute of Art such as the SIE show and the annual Spring shows. He is currently working as an intern at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center and has been doing promotional artwork for the organization. He aims to create work that inspires curiosity and created hope for a better future.
