This painting is a mixed media experiment of acrylic and iridescent oil paints to depict the narrative of how music can paint a picture. I was intrigued by a photograph of my friend Kira that shows her with a single earphone in one ear, additionally the lighting on her face inspired me to create this image. I wondered if she was actually listening to music or if she simply had her earphone in her ear, which played a big part in the uncertainty of the background.
