This work was created by a group of artists for the Pedro Pires Institute for Cape Verdean Studies. Cape Verde is known as a colorful country. which is reflected in its art. In addition to the many colored houses, you can also see many colored murals which are made by street artists, a form of art known in popular speech as street art. Originally street art was controversial and painting on walls in the open space is not appreciated by everyone. This form of art is often confused with graffiti.
