The work for this painting started in September 2024, beginning with a preparatory drawing study. It was an evolution of ideas with successes and failures. Through clothing changes and compositional errors, I spent around 60 hours with Isabella to make two works I am extremely proud of. And I think this painting shows her well. I appreciate her equal devotion to making this happen.
