I came across this Tree Daisy as a weed in Australia. I needed to remove from the area I maintain, but it was so beautiful that I had to capture it before it was removed. That same month I was sent a card with an artwork by Van Gogh. It reminded of how beautiful the colours and brushstrokes are in Vincent's work. So, the stars aligned and I was inspired by these two elements. I applied thick paint strokes in the direction of the subjects. The graphic shapes of the painting remind me of Art Deco interiors.
