A small encaustic on panel from the Water's Edge Series, inspired by North Point in Wisconsin. this work recalls the place where water meets stone along the shores of Lake Michigan. For me, the water’s edge is a powerful metaphor for the many journeys taken through life, including the final journey into the unknown. Looking down at the ancient surface of the bedrock and the water of Lake Michigan, I contemplate both the past and the future.
