Over the course of a year or so, and working piece by piece, I tried to capture simple, every day, moments in time, through writing, layering, drawing, and stitching. Sewn together they become a journal of sorts, honoring my daily rituals of drawing and stitching.
Inspiration: images from my sketchbook from nature, and my love of stitching
Techniques: I worked on each piece individually, composing and hand or machine stitching, then arranged them together, and hand stitched them.
Materials Used: cotton cloth, linen, tulle, image transfer, hand embroidery, machine stitching, teabags, paper, paint, vintage fabrics and trims, rusted and coffee dyed fabric, beads and buttons and lace.
