A bit of an inside joke with the Gebbers family of Brewster, Washington. Yes, you ARE looking at a lovely vista in the foothills, towards Washington’s Cascade mountains. Florida? The graceful, muscly cutting horse is named for the blaze on his forehead... a surprisingly accurate outline of the state of Florida! He is indeed looking at Texas….Texas Creek, that is, and the Cascades beyond, while enjoying a break in the day’s ride. Sturdy black Angus cattle dot the highlands, the substance of the Gebbers Cattle grass-fed beef ranching operation. The long-established Gebbers family, whose Scottish ancestor first arrived in the early 1830’s, work together in this beautiful but often harsh landscape to make their mark in ranching, orcharding, and golfing.
