'Heavy Horses' as large working breeds are known in the UK, and bagpipes make my eyes water. No exception here! I knew this would be a painting the day I observed this striking Clydesdale stretching and frisking in the mist and mud of early autumn near the tiny rural hamlet of Dowally in Highland Perthshire's Tay Valley, Scotland.
