Seeking influence from the spiritual, Ascension, is emblematic of my dialogue with the Universe. Repurposing tab paper, I abstract from both my music background, spirituality, and religious upbringing to conduct a visual symphony of geometric forms on the page. My abstractions unfold organically as I conduct my work as a meditation: connecting deeper to an awareness of my emotional states through intuitive choices with each mark. Ascension is a visual manifestation of my exploration of the spiritual within art. Arranged in a triangle, Ascension, represents my relational journey to a higher perspective as spiritually the triangle is used to mark cycles of growth that lead to a higher state of being.
