Monty  Image: Monty, with his trademark pink halter.  Painting Monty taught me about the importance of using cool and warm lighting when you are painting. I was using natural light from a window while I was painting him and of course it kept changing every time I thought I had nailed the color of the mane. Almost drove me insane!  My life as an artist improved so much after completing this painting!
