My agent Octavio reached out to me, asking if I would consider working on 4 urns for a prominent Miami Collector. Turns out that the “urns” he wanted were 4- 4 1/2 feet tall decorative vessel/vases. The client wanted these urns to be placed around his pool, with each urn fitted with a water feature. After giving it some thought, I recommended that each urn have a complimentary theme. After getting an approval from the client, I came up with a mythology theme, with each urn sculpted to depict a specific legend:
1- COUNCIL OF THE GODS
2- TROJAN WAR
3- VENUS AND ADONIS
4- PANDORA’S BOX

I sculpted on each urn a storyline depicting the chosen title. If this band of relief sculpture was to be unwrapped from the urn, it would be a 5 1/2 feet long per urn. There are over 75 figures to bring these stories to life. The client was beyond excited when he saw the urns. As a testament to his appreciation of my work, I am now working on 3 more sculptures for him.
