ANGEL’S SERENADE
Sometimes an artist is approached with a very special request. Angel’s Serenade took fruition after such a request. A young man approached me at the EPCOT FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS, asking if I could paint a heartwarming scene with his sister playing the piano. The young woman had passed a few years before at only 22 years old. My heart was breaking for this wonderful family, and I felt so honored to be chosen to create for them a work of art that might bring them a little respite from their pain and sorrow.
The painting depicts Angel sitting at a grand piano, the fingers from her right hand gracefully moving across the keys as she plays a beautiful melody. On her laps sits a small toddler captivated by her music. The painting captures a moment of pure joy, capturing her eternally in a moment of complete joy and contentment.
