If we’re going to be honest, most of us would rather remove or resolve any tension in our lives. Through this series of paintings I'm exploring how the places we experience tension might actually be working to create an unimaginable beauty in our lives. In order to become present to that possibly, I've found that being near water, looking into the reflections and never ending movement of water, to be a very helpful meditational exercise. Working to represent my experience in watercolor is one of my goals with this work.
