Windforms is a facade project designed to reflect and celebrate the unique geological and environmental aspects of the Sandia Mountains landscape. The large mural aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the building facade while conceptually representing the idea of connection to the landscape through its placement and design. located on the west-facing “sail” wall, the piece integrates with the architecture of Bernalillo County’s headquarters, and invokes the vibrant colors of Albuquerque’s skies, the Rio Grande, the bosque, and the Sandias with an abstract design which echoes the natural forces and rhythms of the county’s high desert landscapes.
