We are invited to the feast of heaven and earth! In this piece, traditional elements of the Christian Church are reimagined into the vast, holy world. Abundant thimbleberries are communion, the cathedral walls are stalks of corn twisted with blossoming scarlet runner beans, the saintly kingfisher and coyote keep watch wearing sunflower halos. In this place we tend and are tended, and as we feed one another, we weave ourselves into the sacred that permeates all things.
- Subject Matter: Stylized garden plants, native flowers, monarch caterpillars, kingfisher, coyote, and people holding ritual space within it all.
