What happens when words no longer seem to make any sense, and logic deserts you?
This artwork represents the experience of being in no man's land (or no person's land), trying to attempt to make meaning from a narrative that is falling apart at the seams.
Although this book has been ripped apart, this act of violence is ameliorated by the gentle, even lullaby-like arrangement of softly curving pages hanging like a cloud from the sky. Little people and objects, cut out from the pages themselves, populate a miniature world of their own.
When words weigh heavy, perhaps meaning can be made by traversing across the landscape of a page in a different way.
