Painting # 1 “ The Sacred Worker”
Watercolor on paper, 22” x 30”
A swarm of bumblebees moves in quiet harmony through soft light and shadow.
There is no rush, only purpose — steady, grounded, and essential.
Inspired by Tibetan philosophy, this painting honors the sacred rhythm of small lives that carry the world on their wings.

Project Overview“Pollinators in a City” is a heartfelt and timely art series that explores the essential role of pollinators—bumblebees and butterflies—within urban landscapes, focusing on British Columbia's vibrant city of Kelowna. Through this collection of 10 large watercolor paintings (20"x28"), I aim to illustrate the harmonious coexistence of pollinators and people, showcasing how cities can nurture and celebrate these vital species. Each artwork combines images of beloved pollinators native to BC with iconic scenes from Kelowna, creating a beautiful blend of nature and urban life.
By drawing attention to this theme, I hope to inspire conversations about biodiversity and sustainable urban living. Pollinators play a crucial role in our ecosystem, ensuring the growth of flowers, fruits, and plants. In cities, their presence represents hope, resilience, and the opportunity for humans to design more inclusive spaces for all living beings. This series seeks to encourage communities to take action and create pollinator-friendly environments in every city across the globe.
Completed Paintings & Upcoming ExhibitionSo far, I have completed four pieces that serve as powerful examples of this vision. They feature vivid scenes of bumblebees dancing over daisies and butterflies soaring near Okanagan landscapes. I aim to complete the series and present the collection at a dedicated exhibition in spring 2025. This exhibition will celebrate the intersection of art, nature, and urban innovation, inspiring viewers to reflect on their own roles in supporting pollinator habitats.
Artistic Style and AppealMy watercolor style is a harmonious blend of realism and impressionism, characterized by vibrant color palettes, delicate textures, and dynamic compositions. The softness of watercolor perfectly captures the fragility and grace of pollinators, while the bright and energetic tones reflect the bustling life of the city.
- For Nature Lovers: These paintings appeal to those who appreciate the beauty of wildlife and understand the urgency of preserving biodiversity.
- For Urban Visionaries: The combination of pollinators and cityscapes sparks ideas about sustainable living and urban planning.
- For Collectors: My artworks resonate with collectors who value a meaningful narrative and a connection to nature.
Through this project, I also aim to increase engagement on social media and among clients by sharing process videos, ecological tips, and educational content about pollinators and their impact. My goal is to turn art into a conversation, where people can connect emotionally with the subject and take positive action in their communities.
Join the MissionThis project is more than a celebration of pollinators; it is a call to action for creating greener, more inclusive cities. I invite you to follow my journey, support the exhibition, and share your own ideas on how humans and pollinators can thrive together.
