Sarah Yerkes studied architectural design at Harvard (she founded a landscape design firm) and art at the Museum School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Late in life she wrote poetry, publishing at the age of 101 a collection titled "Days of Blue and Flame." Donated by IRC resident and artist Sarah Yerkes.
