Steven Songer holds B.S. degrees in Commercial Art and Art Education from Weber State University in Utah, and an M.F.A. in Painting from Utah State University. Around 1990, he painted Lake View, which image he turned over to a New York firm to issue unsigned prints of it on paper. He did not authorize prints on canvas. This work, which bears on the back a label reading "Canvas Transfer" (and an enigmatic "C 1850") is apparently an unauthorized (unique?) giclée print.
