Catherine Butler Pendley studied interior design at the University of Oklahoma and Maryville College in St. Louis, and then fine arts at Marian College (now Marian University) in Indianapolis. Specializing in printmaking, her work has been collection by, among others, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George Dukakis, Walter Cronkite and Sidney Poitier.
