A scene from a recent excursion to the Kimberleys in northern WA, Australia. King Leopold sandstone is very ancient and the undulating layers were a constant inspiration. For this work I chose to work mainly with palette knives. Only the sky was brushed to capture the clarity and depth, and to show the contrast against the rock face.
