Kitana Connelly is a proud member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde in Oregon, with ancestral ties to the Molalla and Klickitat tribes, among others. As an artist and entrepreneur, she amplifies the spiritual lifeways of Indigenous cultures, blending modern and traditional practices through her paintings, portraits, and healing-centered dialogues.
In her experience, art is a connection to something greater than herself. Her work is deeply influenced by her relationship with Spirit and the Land. Kitana primarily paints with ink, creating layered pieces that capture the energy and flow of the natural world.
TwahnaCreation, her artistic brand, was born out of a deep connection to both culture and art, which ignited a transformative healing journey that began in early 2020. During this time, she also took on the responsibility of raising her younger brother, a profound experience that shaped her creative process. It was then that she began painting abstractly, a practice she continues to evolve.
